as u see the title my ping is really REALLY high while playing source.
normally if i go to a server that has a latency of 40-50ish then my ping in the game shouldnt be over 70. but today when i tried (a 60-70 latency server) to play it, and i was extremely laggy my ping was around 600-1029, it takes no time at all to go from 50 to 1029. so i dunno WTH is going on!!!
i have norton internet security 2006 i leave the fire wall etc. on during cs.
and my connection provider is SHAW and its 300kb/s max. im using a Dlink Router (model: DL-524). also ive upadted my frimware few days ago.
so plsease help me out!!!!!

It's so annoying...!! I want to play and my ping goes up to 1000 or 2000....but some other times i play normally...

If you find a solution ...please let me know..
