I like this idea much better than a Facebook phone. You don't have to invest any money to get it, and anyone who wants it (and has an Andriod phone) can get it without much effort.

Farhad Manjoo must've written his article to me personally. Problem being he got my age wrong. It's nice he thinks I'm a lot younger than I actually am.

Sadly my phone came with a broken (forever 'please authorize' message) Facebook app on it that since its embedded in ROM I can't get rid of. The only GOOD thing about it is that its a advertising free version - so there is much less worry about suddenly getting wisked off to some website I have no interest in.

Gee, just what I want - an intrusive app that removes ALL privacy and makes money off friends and my personal information. NOT. Just say no.

I got an Android phone and I use Facebook on it all the time without the app, cause when I use the app it doesn't give me all the options I have by just going to FB on the internet! I have the app on my phone, but it just doesn't seem to work as well for me! I have also noticed the same probem with Twitter, the app does not show my banner pic, and also won't let me update my profile info? I am just on the fence with all these apps, they never seem to do what they say they will, give me a good ol computer any day with iinternet access!
