Facebook suddenly does not work, all other sites do

Hi, I have posted this question on one other forum but there hasn't been much response. I am in another country right now for school. I have been here for about a month and Facebook was working until a few days ago. Now facebook will not work and all other sites still do. I downloaded FireFox and tried that. Didn't work. I tried using my cell, computer, and wii. None worked. Facebook is my only connection to home right now so I am really trying to figure out how to fix this issue. I rent from some people here and my apartment is connected to their house so I have no way to get to the router.

I get the message Internet Explorer cannot display webpage.

Any ideas??

Ide suggest another browser? try dragon at comodo.com

Open up a command prompt (Start > Run > cmd) and enter ping facebook.com

What happens?

Also, I'm assuming your cell, PC, wii are all going via wireless router.. if so, it's entirely possible the people blocked facebook on the router.

If the above don't work, try https & NOT http.
You can also try going here http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ pasting the facebook url into where it shows google.com & then click the or just me? link & it'll tell you. Good luck.

Try running an ip proxy that's in the USA.
