"Failed to create Direct 3D device"

  1. I just installed Need for Speed The RUN,and when I try to open it I get "Failed to create D3D device of at least version 10.0 on adapter "NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250..."

    I checked the directx and its fine! also I installed DirectX Software Development Kit

    here are my computer specs.

    Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU 540 @ 3.07GHz, 3067 Mhz,2 Core(s),4 Logical...
    RAM 4.00 GB
    NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1) (2,147,483,648) bytes

    the gts 250 support Dx 10, it wil ljust barely run the game, update the display driver from nvidia's site, or upgrade your card to a GTX 550ti for 130 bucks
