Failing to read my iphone or itouch

    Hey,

    My Mac is failing to read my iphone or itouch. I tried the cable in different slots but it still did not work. They both will charge via an in wall cable. Does anyone know what the problem may be? I don't know if my cat, yes my cat, changed any of the setting. He likes to sleep on my computer so I often find interesting websites pop up when I wake in the morning. Please let me know, thanks :)
