Fan controller CPU temp sensor

Hey,

I'm just looking at new fan controller with temp sensor. Another one i had was of lower quality but there was a real difference between the CPU temperature on the controller and that in Everest.

So the question is were exactly is the best place to put the CPU sensor. Ive heard its bad to put it in the heat sink of the CPU cooler so were is a good place.

I know you'll say they are just not very reliable but i would like to make it as reliable as possible.
