I need a fan controller. I have 4 fans which I need to control:

    1x120mm
    2x140mm
    1x200mm

I've found a few, but I really have no idea what I'm looking at.

    Scythe:

    Any ideas?

They would all work, for simplicity the Scythe is the best buy, it appears to come with 3 pin to molex adapters if they are required. The NZXT does give you an extra port but at almost twice the price. Almost all fan controllers are going to work the same way or very similar, Depends on the brand and the features. You can always check the kind of connectors your fans have to be sure of what you need and don't need.

    I prefer sliders over knobs.
