I was planning to purchase from Newegg obviously. I live somewhat nearby to a microcenter, wouldn't mind driving down there and picking everything up if there were some ideas there.

more and more thinking I think I might want to drive on down the Microcenter tomorrow and purchase on the spot... will give me something to do tomorrow. I'll post my idea for that in a moment if you could critique it.

ok here goes... couple ideas for memory and gpu would be great.

?
The i5-2500k is better AFAIK?

EDIT: Ok firstly stop double posting.
Secondly, the i7-960 doesn't fit with that motherboard.
Thirdly, at $35~$40, I rather like the Scythe Yasa cooler.
Fourthly, that power supply looks like a PoC.
Fifthly. a 6950 would be my choice.
Sixthly, just get the RAM I linked to above; newegg's got free shipping on it anyway.
And lastly, it seems to me that your ideas have been sloping downward after the first.

Ok well the one I listed in my last post at microcenter has it on special for 179.99, it looks like its the same as I listed in my first build, I can replace that. Any input on the mobo i chose at microcenter, and any input on a gpu / ram from there?

There is no need to buy everything from one source or the other. Mix and match from both places or even buy some parts from still other places if you want. That way you can get the components you really want for the best prices.
