File sbp2port.sys is corrupted

  1. Hi.

    I have XP pro on system. i downloaded xp pro sp3 integrated with oct 2011 updates.
    I decided to do a clean installation.
    I got the message when I tried to boot from the XP Pro CD, file sbp2port.sys is corrupted. what to do now..help...

    Where did you get the download from? If it is a pirated copy it may well be corrupted or even infected with a virus and should not be used.

    Do you have the original XP OS disc. If so you can download the Service Pack 3 from Microsoft and slipstream it with the original copy.

    So, do you need any further help?

    In respect of the download you have, if this is a pirated copy, it would be against the rules of this forum to help you with it.

    If you have a genuine copy of XP or are able to borrow one then we would be happy to help.

    You have to close the thread yourself, just click on the Thread Tools tab, top right on this page.
