Hey, it's like this: I installed a certain program on my PC(Motorola Phone Tools to be specific), I've been regularly updating it, now what I am asking is if I copy the program files+registry+common files of Motorola Phone Tools to another PC with an unupdated version of the program, will it work? Of course I can update it but the PC in question is in a remote place with no internet connectivity. Please reply.

Not easily. There is no way to determine all the entries in the registry. You really need the disk to perform this task properly... THEN you can copy over the subdirectory and paste it over the one the CD installed.

copy the installer to a USB Thumb drive and then install on any system you choose :)
