Format Hard Drive

    I have been trying to format my hard drive, but to no avial. I have changed the Bios setting to boot from CD/floopy but it keeps loading windows. I have a CD boot disk and I also have down load the 6 floopy disk for XP home serive pack 2. Can any one give me any adive to what to do?

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

    With your Windows cd in your drive, go into bios and set the boot priority to floppy/cd/hdd Now make sure you Save and exit bios, usually by pressing the F10 key. Although it may be different with your bios.

    Hopefully during boot up, it should ask you to press any key to boot from cd.
