Formatting problem

    Hi All
    one of my systems got virus and needs to be formatted. I did using boot disk of xp os. I selected "c" particion and did. after I am able to find out some part of "d" drive also formatted . I dont understand why it happend. Please let me know .

    Ok I don't understand well what you mentioned before...

    You have formatted you drive C with a new installation and then you see that D also was formatted. Is that what you say?

    If yes then this may be an error that you click on and format the partition D as normally it should only format the one you have chosen.

    If you're not sure then you may have selected Drive D too!!! Have you lost important files with this mistakes?
