Recently, I started having an fps issue, the only games I really play are "Conquer Online", "Counterstrike 1.6 and CZ" and Starcraft. It is most noticeable in counterstrike, but my fps will be like "100,100,100,100,60,50,20,100,100,100,100" and it when it goes down i'll freeze and get choppy for a second. In the other two games I can't see my fps, but I just freeze for that second. Now I recently had fan/cooling trouble with my graphics card, and it was getting up to 100º C. Now I have a new fan and the games run at 60º C, and I don't know if these problems are related. Are there any fixes for this?
I have an nvidia geforce 8500gt.
