free ad blocker?

  1. recommend a good free ad blocker.

    Ads, banner, flashes are making my surfing speed slow. I need an ad blocker but I dont have money. is there any good but free ad blocker?

    imho the best ad blocker (which is also free) is firefox 2 with the Adblock Plus and Filterset.G Updater extentions installed. it blocks all ads on web pages and firefox blocks 99% of pop ups :)

    however, as Rik mentioned, if you have any malware on your pc it could cause pop ups to, well, pop up ;)

    If you use Opera browser,you can just right click on a page and block

    any content you don`t want.It remembers your choice,for future visits.

    Firefox has an add on called Adblock plus. This blocks all images you don't want showing.
