I'm looking for a free program that will rip my burnt dvds back to my computer.

I have a bunch of movies I made by combining several video clips. My external HD that all of these clips were stored on quit working and now the dvds I made are my only backup.
Does anyone know of a good program that can rip them back to an .avi or .mpeg?
I image that I won't be able to rip the clips individually as I made them into a movie when I burnt them.

    TIA

Try DVDFab HD Decrypter and AutoGK.

DVDFab HD Decrypter to rip the DVD video and AutoGK to encode the video to an XviD AVI video.

Thanks a lot. I'll try it out.

What type of file will DVDFab make when it rips the dvd?

DVDFab copies the raw DVD video files onto your HDD while removing any copy protection.
