Freescale shows 7-inch tablet reference design

  1. Freescale has revealed a new tablet reference design that "combines the best attributes of smartphones and notebook PCs for the ideal blend of performance, portability and battery life." The company's "smartbook tablet" design will be available for partner evaluation next month.

    I agree, $200 is probably a pipe dream... Unless it's for the bare minimum no-frills, and everything you want in it is ala carte. Still, $200 seems unlikely (they DO need to make a profit somewhere along the way).

    Still, if it's really low, I could see this being an interesting option for road warriors. I'd love having something that I could read books on, watch movies on, and use as a GPS in my rental car...
