French Ministry hit by hacker attack, G-20 was the target

  1. Hackers infiltrated French government computers in search of information about France's leadership of the Group of 20 leading economies. The attack took place late last year and the intruders infiltrated around 150 computers and stole numerous documents, out of a total 170,000 computers in France's Finance Ministry, according to the BBC.

  2. If the attack happened "late last year" why are we just reading about it a week into March?

    I'd also be interested to learn more about the 'trojan horse email'. So the whole thing could have been avoided with a little 'computer common sense'?

    I would imagine because they wanted to be certain of the extent of the information stolen before going public and being made to look stupid.
