  1. I need some help in figuring out how to both host FTP sharing and hosting a website from a new server of mine. The server is a Dell Poweredge 2650 running Windows Server 2003. Im new to servers and just am needing some basic help on getting my feet wet and figuring out how to host.

it's bad from a security point of view; there are other versions of IIS that are more secure.

Coming from a Unix background, I like Apache2 and you can download a windows binary that will run nicely
(heck, I even have it on my laptop!)

Online documentation is available and it is quite good

Your users will be accessing FTP data using ftp://your-domain-name/
and if you wish to support users uploading, you need to read up on the PUT method
(and the security issues it creates).
