  1. G.Skill has added three new storage capacities to its Phoenix Pro series of solid-state drives. The new models are available in 40GB, 80GB and 160GB variants, and join the existing 60GB, 120GB and 240GB units that were released in June. They all pair the same SF-1200 controller from SandForce with multi-level cell (MLC) NAND flash memory and a custom firmware, so performance should remain intact across the entire range regardless of their size.

    They're sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowly getting cheaper.
  3. Well I'm going out on a limb here, (a nice thick one, tho ) and say the 40Gb will initially retail for $119 dollars before falling very rapidly to the magic (wallet popping) $99. All before the new wave comes in before Crimbo. Package it up with Windows seven for $140 all done, spit on yer palm, and I'll take two.
