GA-P55-USB3 extremely slow boot time

hi i built a new pc with these parts

GA-P55-USB3
I5 760
4GB DDR3 CORSAIR
650W CORSAIR PSU
VTX 5770

And to cut a long story short i used the gigabyte smart 6 OC tool (which is crap) and since then my mobo posts but then pauses at the screen which says gigabyte p55-usb3 etc for about 40-50 seconds

i loaded optimized defaults in bios but no difference
i also have two usb sticks plugged in which i heard could make a difference

any help appreciated

also did a clean install of windows no difference

So did you remove them and see if the booting sped up at all? Set USB Legacy devices active in the bios, and make sure that the hard drive is first in the boot order
