Then you're okay with the PSU... There is something else going on. Run spyware program on your computer and see if anything is hidding.. Spyware Terminiator works great with games so far..

Do a ctrl-alt-del and click on task manager see what's running on the system? CPU should be there.. Are you running firewall on that PC. How much RAM free or Page-File size? Have you defrag the HDD?

use ebuyer again but make sure it's a good brand, don't jsut go by the reviews

coolermaster, zalman, enermax and antec are good ones to look out for

edit: sorry i missed a few posts out :D so this info might not be needed any more

    I use generic PSU I don't have problems I use 430W and 530W, I've found that smaller ones don't work so well 200W, 300W, 350W..

well the main things you want are decent amperage on the 12v rail and a good MTBF, usually well known ones like enermax etc will be >100,000 hours

i used to have a generic psu and it started failing after what was probably about 7000 hours

i think this is what my original post on techspot was about ;)

well this means that the game's using all of your cpu which it shouldn't really do unless loads is going on screen and the graphics card needs some help

it could be that the game conflicts with one of your running processes, try googling something like "sword of the new world conflicts" and see what comes up

I turned off my firewalls/antivirus (Panda Internet Security) and i dont get any freezes
  12. Daveskater Banned Posts: 2,031

ahhh :D that could be it then

sounds like the programs conflict with each other, you'll either have to keep disabling the firewall when you play or get another firewall, up to you :)

I don't use panda but a few good programs my firewall I never turned it off and it works with it.. AV/Spyware/Any system cache programs exit out of them. Keyboard enhancers also. But one thing I've notice the PC with it's own sound card not on MOBO but in PCI slot will stop causing those freezings too. Less load on your CPU and let the processor on the sound card to the offload work. Still need to turn off the protection software too.
