Games Freezing Upon Startup

I have played BL2, ROBLOX, Dirty Bomb, and others, fine, but when I start one up one day and it just freezes my whole entire computer. I click play in the launcher/STEAM and it just freezes and makes the current sound go over and over. Mouse is unresponsive, can't even CTRL + ALT + DELETE, nada. Can't do anything other than a cold shutdown. Windows is my main pain in the *** while Mac works completely fine. Any help whatsoever? (P.S Most games work completely fine)
