GeForce 5200 just installed, not working

  1. mri3iguns Newcomer, in training

    have an old hp some one gave me but the video card is burnt out so i bought another one and out it in. Now all i see is black screen. I really can't tell u specs of the computer cause i have no monitor....at all...I know its a p4 and 256mb of ran 250watt PS. Card seems to run. I don't get any beeps or anything. Any suggestions?

    its ok. i got it fixed. Had to take it to a computer shop. COme to found out Bios had been set to on board vga. They removed the cmos battery to clear it and have it revert back to pci port.
