Geforce 5500 FX OC

  1. I just got the video card today, Installed it, but when I plug the VGA cord into the new card my screen only shows my background image, no taskbar or anything.. and when I plug it into integrated card It works fine.. What's the deal?

    You need to disable integrated graphics, otherwise the graphics card will either

    a)not work
    b) possibly act as an extended desktop

    Disable the integrated graphics in your BIOS.

    How do i get into my BIOS? o_O and how would I go about disabling my Integrated graphics there?

    I don't recommend overclocking at all, particularly the fx5500 card.
    Unless you have money to burn.

    I just bought this card, and that happened to me, dunno what i did, but i did dl the new drivers and it fixed it, anyways i overclocked it the right way, and i made my Core- 303mhz (303 lol), and the 411 on my Memory OC is 411mhz lol.
