GeForce 7900GS KO Overclock Help

I haven't really looked at any benchmarks, but what happens if you put them in SLI/Crossfire?

I don't know about the 7900GTX's, but the X1950XTX's in crossfire are up at 8800 levels.

@ Rage:
Ahh, cool. Good I didn't go for the 7900GTOs when I had the chance =). I don't believe there is much perf. difference between the X1950XT and XTX version. Well, at least most benchmarks don't show much of a difference. One is 230$ other is 370$ if I'm not mistaken.

@ MetalX:
I don't mean the FEAR performance analyzer, I mean normal online gameplay. DM never dips below 50 FPS (including all of the smoke and destructions of people and nades and stuff) and TDM's perf. is even better.

Also - I usually host a server called "NULL²'s Place" [up to 8 people, I had it at 16 before but now it's default since I reformatted, gotta change it again] (I'm either (ASP)NULL² or nu11!f!3r). While hosting the server, playing, and putting ~1000 proxies and remotes on a map (with some friends), I am at 10-20FPS. Once I explode them I go to 0-1FPS. The odd thing is that now exploding a lot (1000s) of bombs doesn't lag so much. Must be my OCed CPU or something, idk. Usually it took a few minutes to process 600 bombs, now for 1000s it takes just a few seconds per frame.

@Howard: Ahh, thanks man. Got it, no more quoting posts above you =). I just have a habit of doing that sometimes.

Are you sure you're not playing at like 640x480? I go down to like 25 extreme high action scenes in TDMs, not so bad in DMs... thats with everything on max except AA and soft shadows.

Can you imaging having memory at 6.512GHz

Can you imagine a Athlon 64's system bus (not HTT) at 6.512 GHz? A 6000+ would be at 97.68GHz (15x6512).

There is a very small performance difference and this is due to the XTX card having GDDR4 memory compared to the XT's GDDR3 memory. This is also responsible for the large price difference.

Well, yeah. But after looking at Tom's Hardware VGA charts again, both cards (BTW, they didn't have an X1950XT but only an X1900XT so I used that) were above 60FPS on most of the benchmarks... So even if there IS a, what, 10FPS difference it won't matter much. And the price, 230$ vs 370$, is not something to just say "ahh, spend the extra few bucks".

@ Howard: Ahh man sorry again haha. I gotta get rid of this habit.

Umm, I wasn't exactly praising the X1950XTX you know. I was just giving you the info so you could decide for yourself. I myself have 2 X1900XTXs and didn't bother to look at the X1950XTX twice, since I knew I had the same card, only with a noiser cooler and slower(LOL) RAM.
And agi_shi, Howard's gonna have ur *** again, coz u again quoted a post directly above urs! =P
