    Hi,
    I have an i5 3550 CPU and a NVidia 9400 GT 1 GB DDR2 Graphics Card.
Should I use the onboard graphics of my CPU for gaming, or should I use the card ?
    Please suggest.

Always use the 3rd party video card first...

I'm gonna vote for the on-board graphics in this case. The i5-3550 has comparable performance with lower power consumption than a 9400.

    Try using both...

Neither, they're both pretty useless for gaming. Get a midrange card like a 7770, 7850 or 650Ti or if you're strapped for cash then look for a cheap used 6870/6950/GTX 560 on ebay.
