    "G" stands for "Great"

    The RAM spec in the video card has absolutely nothing to do with the RAM required by the motherboard. So yes, it will work is the short answer. The "G" in GDDR2 simply indicates that it is graphics memory, not motherboard memory.

    Ok, well some video cards were listed as just DDR2, not GDDR2 so I thought i would verify. Thanks again captaincranky.
