i was wondering if a 185 watt power supply can power any Geforce MX4000 128MB 128-bit DDR PCI video cards. also if it can power any Radeon 9250 128MB DDR PCI Video Cards. thanks for all your help.

I know that the FX 5500 (which is comparable to the Radeon 9250) says it needs 250 watt.

I'm guessing that all of these have about the same requirement.

The MX 4000 requires about 200 watts and the Fx series needs 250 and 300. its time to upgrade my friend, and get a $40 motherboard that has Agp 8x

Wait a second, you get get a $40 motherboard that supports AGP?

And to think I agonized for 2 weeks trying to get the best PCI card for my computer.

Then again, I'm told there's a problem with Dell motherboards and power supplies that makes it difficult to switch out either.

Switching anythign in a dell is very painful. I got a motherboard for my compaq for $35 with Agp 8x. What Cpu do you use?
