I have a ASUS (p5n32-e sli plus) motherboard.
Can I use a ATI video card or am I stuck with a NVIDIA card only.

You can use any video card that has a PCI-Express interface (from either ATI or nVidia).

Your motherboard only has "SLI" in its name to indicate that it's capable of SLI mode. It will work with ATI cards.

ATI cards will work OK. Look at some of these TechSpot forums for recommendations on good ones. Right now, ATI prices are very good.

create another thread to ask about what graphics card you should buy. Include budget and what games you play (or want to play).

Also include your current system's specification (which includes your current graphics card, CPU, motherboard, RAM, power supply...)
