    For the average consumer this means little to nothing as usual, like most advances in the networking world. For business it means not having to upgrade your lines for another couple of years. Its fast, for a coax cable. Recently at a LAN here in Montreal they had 5Gbps supplied by Videotron, slightly faster but that was using fiber.

    Still alot cheaper here in the US, I get 60mbs down 15mbs up for $80 a month docsis 3.0 on Comcast cable. 98 % faster than the rest of the US.

    I just got upgraded from 1 Meg to 2 Megs meaning I now meet the required 2 meg minimum for every home set by the government.


    now my ISP doesn't have to spend a penny upgrading my line till 2017 which I think is a min of 10 meg...

  7. here in romania I download on torrent with 10 MB/s for 7,5 euro. and phone subscripition.:)

    That Sucks, BT have just sent us a letter to say we can get Infinity 2 to our house.
    78MB down and 20MB up ... Hope they do this to the rest of the country!
