Gigaware WebCam & Audio Help Needed

I just bought the Gigaware 2.0 camera/mic from Radioshack and it isn't working right. My mic works fine until I turn on the camera. Once the camera is on I just get noise and my voice can't be heard. Any ideas why this happens and how to fix this?

What are your computer specs?

I am not sure. I'm away from home. It is about 8 years old, custom built, so it's not cutting edge anymore.

Year 2000-1? Running XP?

It was built in 2000 and is running on XP. Thanks for your help.

Try to update XP to Service Pack 3, and all other missing updates
