Gmail makes phone numbers clickable

  1. Google has made a very small update to Gmail today: phone numbers now appear as links. The search giant launched Gmail calling back in August 2010, so we're a little bit surprised it took the company this long to make this little change.

    This better not be as bad as the "feature" in android. I hate it there, because if I accidentally hit any random group of numbers, no matter how long the group is, Android says "oh, that's a phone number", and opens up the dialer and sticks the number in. Annoying as hell.

    Not true, I have been using this feature, in Gmail, since it was available in Canada.

    What about the tiny Island country in Western Europe... You Americans always get the cool features while us UK people sit here and watch you all get bored of using it before we get too! :haha:
