Good racing games recommendations for PC?

hey

I like mostly realistic driving style games. racing, F1 and rally games.
lots of settings on car is a plus.

I just got a logitech rumble pad.

any recommendations?

IMO Dirt 2 is the best driving game I have come across,very good and realistic damage(as far as games go), sound, car selection, number of events etc. And you can make use of it in DX 11 with your 5770

Maybe you should check out rFactor, it should be pretty good and realistic. Plus it's possible to get expansion packs that mimics Formula one and alot more.

In that case, whatever you do, stay away from all the new Need for Speed games.

the earlier nfs games (1990's) were awesome, but the newer ones suck with the exception of Shift which is just decent imo.

Dirt 1 and Toca Race Driver are okay...

The NFS series has sucked since Carbon. But I just played the new Hot Pursuit game at a convention here and I was impressed. Of course, that's probably because it's being developed by Criterion Games, instead of EA.
