Good Video Converter?

I have need of a good program for converting videos between various formats. Does anyone know of any good ones? I mean, there are tons of them on Google, but I don't want one that is of low quality or one that is aimed at total newbs.

Doesn't matter if it costs money, I can pay for it, I'd just like to know of a quality converter.

I have found MPEG Streamclip to be pretty good, I have only had 1 filetype that it did not recognize... That can be downloaded for free at versiontracker.com
