I have just been into Add and Remove Programmes and have noticed that we now have Relevant Knowledge installed! Obviously I don't have good virus and spyware protection. I mentioned before that I have the free version of AVG and don't have a firewall other than the Windows firewall. We used to use Zonealarm but didn't reinstall it after our computer was cleaned.

Mike, you said to ask you about a firewall, so I am asking.

I suppose, as well as uninstalling Relevant Knowledge, I will have to re-run the 8-step virus etc removal programme. I think I had better write a macros (I wish!) to do this for me automatically as it's becoming a pain!

I had other ideas for Valentines Day!

    I vote for both!

The Relevant Knowledge was installed with KCleaner I myself uncheck it, to not install. Uninstall it!

Sunbelt Personal FW 4 is good.
It learns your habits and you authorize application access to the network.
(so you can see when some unknown application is attempting to phone home)

It prompts you when programs get updated or replaced
(and you should be running some kind of update or install else it's a bogus action
    bu some trojan/virus)

I've found it a good replacement for Comodo.
