Google Maps launches Pokemon Challenge, gotta catch 'em all

Never mind the calendar – it’s already April Fools’ Day at Google. According to a new recruiting video, the search giant is looking for the worlds best and brightest to fill the role of Pokemon master via the Pokemon Challenge.

All you have to do is launch the Google Maps application for Android or iOS, tap the “Search” option then the “Press Start” button next to a blue Pokeball icon. Each creature you find can be added to your Pokedex and we are hearing there are 150 in total.

Interested parties have until April 2 at 2am PT to catch ‘em all. Strong-willed applicants that collect every Pokemon will be invited to the Googleplex to participate in the final round of hiring. The winner will start their new job on September 1, 2014.

Ha ha this is awesome. I may not know all of these pokemon, but I do remember when there were only 150 of them. Excuse me while I imprison the buggers in tiny balls of unimaginable technology.
