When I click on a link generated from a google search, I am redirected to different URLs.
I have performed the UPDATED 8-step Viruses/Spyware/Malware Preliminary Removal Instructions.
I had 2 problems.
1. I could not get the updates for Malwarebytes. I got the following message:
"Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
I ran the program without the updates.
2. I could not get the updates for SUPERANTISPYWARE. I got the following message:
"There was an error trying to retrieve definitions. Make sure your
firewall is not blocking SUPERANTISPYWARE.EXE from accessing the
Internet."
I ran the program without the updates.
I have my Windows XP firewall and my Norton security turned off. I have never
had any difficulty getting updates for any software. Could the malware be
blocking the updates?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Erich
