I've been living with this problem for 4 months. My search results get Hijacked, advertising spots on websites are Hijacked and replaced with male enhancement products Vimax (or some garbage like that). I get popups - its very annoying.

> I have ESET NOD32 Anti-Virus, its been scanned a millions times, can't delete files just quarantines them.
> I've used numerous malware software but to no help. ie. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

The Problem
I need to format my computer, but I can't because whatever this virus/malware/trojan is has infected my external hard drive and my laptop hard dive. whenever I try to access my hard drives it says:

"Windows cannot find 'RECYCLER\S-2-9-64-100020311-1000296899-5786.COM'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click Start button, and then click Search"

I've tried to delete this "RECYCER\S" folder, but it doesn't exist. The same error comes up whenever I try to access my hard drive from My Computer, I have to use the address bar to access them.

PLEASE HELP! I need to get this is ASAP! thanks in advance

Hello nanobox99

Please download Combofix:
http://subs.geekstogo.com/ComboFix.exe

And save to the desktop.

Close all other browser windows.

Please connect all your external hard drive/flash drive before running Combofix, if you have any

Double-click on the combofix icon found on your desktop.

Please note, that once you start combofix you should not click anywhere on the combofix window as it can cause the program to stall. In fact, when combofix is running, do not touch your computer at all and just take a break as it may take a while for it to complete.

Combofix will create a logfile and display it after your computer has rebooted. Usually located in c:\combofix.txt, please attach it to your next post
