Have you checked if the cable from the screen to the videocard input (DVI/HDMI) is secure? If it is not completely inside, sometimes you may lose image signal and it gives you that message, but if everything is secure, then I am fearing that your videocard might be damaged/not working.

Maybe someone more experienced can help better, but I'm just trying to think logically. Have you also tried using a different connection cable between the PC and the monitor?

Check every connection and re-connect every cable again. Same way see the power cable is connected correctly and see weather power is been supplied to monitor from CPU.

When you press the "On" button, does anything happen? Do lights or fans come on or do you hear anything indicating the PC is working at all (sort of)?
