GPU temperature spike due to screensaver?

    i recently installed hwmonitor as i am doing a bunch of video encoding and wanna monitor my cpu temperature...basically normal usage makes the gpu temperature hover around 57c but when i went off for a bit and the screensaver came on the temperature went up to 75c...so is my screensaver causing the spike in temperature?

    Change screensavers and see would be my suggestion.
