Graphics card problem

I tried to install a Radeon 5450 graphics card in a Dell Optiplex 380.
When I booted the computer I got bleeps then nothing blank monitor.I know this card is suitable can't figure out whats going on.Took out the new graphics rebooted and bleeps again and a blank monitor.Can any one help please.

Check your memory cards. You may have bumped them loose. Then try booting the computer.

What version BIOS - did you check 'beep codes'?

Go back to beginning. Make sure you can get it to work the old way.

-how many bleeps - long or short - what is the BIOS type - AMI? Phoenix? - look up 'beep code' - http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

Try setting the bios back to default
