  1. Hey guys new to the forums. ok so heres the deal, I just got turtle beaches today(x 11) and decided to plug them in. I had my monitor plugged in for audio via 3.5 mm jack in the green audio slot. thinking that the slots were color coded (my 3.5 connected to my monitor and pc is black) I plugged the 3.5 into a black 3.5 slot in the back of my computer. then wondering why I was getting no sound from my headset opened the mixer and went to properties and found that I had 3.5 audio jacks on the front of my pc next to the power and reset buttons. I plugged the usb from my headset in first and then the 3.5 cords. when I plugged in the 3.5 cord to the front of my pc the computer immediately shut off and now

green light on motherboard and no start up. maybe the mic shorted out the pc im not sure but I really am worried please help. also I saw a thread similar to this but I am a novice in the internals area of pcs so all of the slots next to the cpu and gpu and what not im unsure of
