Half Life 2....again

  1. Cleetus2007 Newcomer, in training

    I bought HL2 last year , installed it, played it, loved it. Now I just tried to reinstall it and although Steam installs fine...I get up to the steam/steamapps install bit (the very first file I think) and it just keeps trying and trying and trying. I have to control/alt/delete to get it to stop.
    Can anyone offer assistance on this one?

    Is it possible that your firewall isn't allowing steam to download? I had a load of problems with steam because it wasn't fully trusted by my firewall (Zonealarm) so check that it's fully trusted.
