I am having Hp Pavilion dv6799ea special edition notebook that came with vista. I am not happy with vista and trying to install xp. The problem is when I try to install XP it says no harddisk found. I assume its the problem with sata drivers.

How can I load the sata drivers so that XP can detect my harddisk for installation? Where can I find the drivers?

    Thanks in advance:cool:

Thanks.Had a look but having difficulties getting the sata driver there. I am in the middle of slipstreaming sata drivers to XP with the help of nlite. I couldnt figure out how to get the drivers(nlite asks for *.inf or multiple setup files)

    :(

You had to download the matrix driver on to a floppy disk, Then boot off the Windows XP disc and right at the beginning of the install press F6 to install additional drivers/raid drivers. There you would be able to isntall the sata driver which will allow the computer to see the disc.
