Hard drive partitioning

  1. i installed a new hard drive and decided to partition it during the install. The first problem i have is that the smaller partition became the primary hard drive and the remaining larger space went unallocated. i then went in to manage the drive and allocate it, which i was able to do, but when i tried to access it i had an error that the drive had incorrect parameters and couldn't be opened. i would like to remedy this and end up with two accessable drives. i'm running xp media edition btw.

Download and install the hard drives manufacturers install software. It will allow you to partition the drive any way possible. I always do the 50, 50 thing
