    Hello All,
I am building a new pc, I am thinking of getting a 250 or 500 gig hard drive for the operating software and 1 terabit hard drive for my data, dose the speed of both drives has to be the same? Also can someone recommend a stable and reliable brand of hard drive?

Do the speeds need to be the same, no! Now matching high speed hard drives have the advantage of storing and transferring data at a higher rate of speed. Regardless of their speeds, if one is slower, than the other will just stand by and wait for other to catch up or get done with what it is doing. As far as brands, I like Maxtor and Western Digital, they are my primary choice when building computers for my clients and myself.
