    STOP USING THE DRIVE!!!!!!!
get that drive out of your computer immediately and connect it to another computer via external hard drive connector or to their ide or sata which ever. dont boot off of it becasue that is putting more stress on it then it can handle. You need to hook it up to another computer to try and drag your docs off if not im sorry. Fireballs are the WORST drive to use and they fail all the time. i apologize for your data try and salvage your stuff but dont boot off of it.

The word "immediately" used here sort of loses its meaning when the post to which you are responding is over five years old. :)
