Hi

When I try to open any of my partitions using double-click. it doesnt open but shows open with dialog box.

Why So????

Is my computer infected with virus. but i have scanned my computer with latest antivirus version of avg and updated definitions. there were some viruses found which are healed now.
But i think my computer's default settings have been changed that's why open-with dialog box comes when try to open any of the hard-disk partition by double-clicking..

Pls. help.

Looks very much like a virus problem[don't remember the name but had faced the same virus problem on a friends computer].

He did not bother about finding a fix,he just reformatted his hard-drives so I am not sure what the correct solution is.And yes he too had AVG.

Yes,that is the result of virus activity.

The quick fix is to go to the root folder of all your drives and delete

any autorun files you see,eg C:\\autorun.inf .Then restart the computer.

If you find you can now open the drives,all well and good.

If not, you still have viruses.First look HERE then HERE and follow all the steps.
