Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (PC) transparent graphics

  1. My main problem is that while playing the game, the graphics/background I see is transparent, and I've tried everything I can lookup in Google but to no avail.

    I opened a thread like this a year ago but I didn't reply to it because I quit trying to solve this problem, but just recently I had the urge to play the game and realizing that the problem is not yet solved. I have more than the minimum/recommended requirement, updated drivers, DirectX11, scanned for virus/malware, dusted off my CPU and the problem is still there.


    My System Specs:
    Windows Vista Home Premium SP2
    AMD Athlon 64 X2 DUal Core Processor 4200+ 2.21 GHz
    RAM 2GB
    NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE/7200 GS
    Total Available Graphics Memory: 1023 MB
    Dedicated Video Memory: 256 MB


    Minimum System Requirements
    OS: Windows XP/Vista
    Processor: Pentium 4 @ 1.8 GHz
    Memory: 256 Mb
    Hard Drive: 5 Gb free
    Video Memory: 64 Mb
    Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 400 / ATI Radeon 7500
    Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
    DirectX: 9.0c
    Keyboard
    Mouse
    DVD Rom Drive

    Recommended System Requirements
    OS: Windows XP/Vista
    Processor: Intel Core 2 DUO @ 2.13 GHz
    Memory: 1 Gb
    Hard Drive: 5 Gb free
    Video Memory: 128 Mb
    Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
    DirectX: 10
    Keyboard
    Mouse
    DVD Rom Drive


    I'm getting desperate, please help.

    I am using the same graphic card as yours , :

    3.6ghz Ht processor
    2gb ram
    256 mb nvidia Geforce 7300 LE


    the problem is with the graphic card, these are old ones, the game is new , and you ain't gonna find any driver updates, so just change the graphic card with a new one.

    Game shows exactly same transparent background on my pc ,but works fine on my cousin's , which is a new one with better and up to date graphic card.
