    Read/Verify Test
Started at 3:34:11 PM on 12/26/2006
Ended at 3:54:37 PM on 12/26/2006
    Start Sector: 0
    Stop Sector: 195813071
    Sector Increment: 63
This test failed. This may have been due to
    · A defective head or cylinder
    · A defective or incomplete low-level format
    · A drive failure, either electronic or mechanical
    The diagnostic test reported:
    Error: SCSIReadVerifySector failed (1117).

I think I should bet a new HDD!

Would this cause the system so slow down?

That tells me, your hard drive is about ready to fail. Backup your data immediately and buy a new hard drive.

Your faulty hard drive is more than likely the reason your slow system.
